Research
I made a questionnaire that I sent out to my friends and classmates to see their thoughts on what I should make and what style / colours are their favourite. Out of the 14 parcipitants here are the analysed results:
Here is a link to the questionnaireWhat is your favourite weapon?
From what I’ve gathered, there's an overwhelming liking for scythe style weapons with 9 votes while gun and axe has 2 votes and sword with 1. It seems by how the public thinks I should've chosen to make a scythe instead of a pair of scissors, maybe if I have time by the end of the given time I could try and make one.

What theme is your favourite?
This question was pretty spread out with the most being Medieval with 4 votes and Frutiger Aero with 3. There was a tie of 2 votes that included Natural and Steampunk while Dreamcore, Grand Gothic and Fantasy got 1 vote. I'm glad Frutiger Aero got a lot of votes because it’s my favourite style and it’s what im making this model’s theme.

What is your top 3 colours?
This was an open ended question where I wanted to see what 3 colours would look good together so I asked what people's top 3 colours were. From what I can see it seems like Black is the most popular colour with Blue and Purple not far behind. While those colours are good I want to try and use more ‘Frutiger Aero’ colours like light blue or white.

What game do you like for the visuals?
This is another question I allowed anyone to say anything, the question this time was what game do you like for the visuals. The answers for this one are pretty similar to question 2 as the games on this list are kind of in line with their themes.

Favorite weapon from a game?
I wanted to ask for people’s favourite weapon from a game or any media as inspiration to see what I could make, however unfortunately from what I’ve seen of these weapons none of them fit the style I'm going for.

Do you prefer big, small or average sized weapons ?
I wondered what size do people prefer for their weapon so I asked if they would rather have a big, average or small sized weapon. From the results I gathered it shows 9 people want a big weapon and 4 people would rather an average sized weapon however unsurprisingly no one chose to have a small weapon.

This research has helped me discover what I should and shouldn’t do for my 3D weapon model, like how I shouldn't make a small weapon or that I should make a weapon blue. Despite these recommendations I’m most likely going to do what I wanted to do as it's what I personally think would look the coolest.
